What to Expect
In-Home Consultation
After contacting Southwestern Remodeling, you will have a complimentary consultation with a friendly sales consultant at your home. Along with taking reference photos of your home and measurements, they will discuss your remodeling needs, including your vision and desired budget.
Project Preparation & Design
Based on the in-home consultation, your sales consultant will next develop a design, budget and detailed contract.
Presentation of Project
The project presentation is when your remodel starts coming to life! You’ll have the opportunity to review detailed CAD plans, a budget and detailed contracts. Because Southwestern Remodeling is not a “cost-plus contractor,” the budget established at contract signing will not increase unless change orders are requested or something unforeseen is discovered (this is very rare).
Final Design Selections
Next, the final design and product selection meetings begin. The meetings include the selection of color, texture and any final design adjustments. Most of these meetings take place in our showroom with a full turn-key process. Outside selection meetings may also be needed for decisions related to plumbing fixtures, lighting and appliances. Someone from our team will accompany you through the entire process.
The Double-Check
Once all design decisions are complete, a member of our team will accompany the sales consultant to your home to confirm all measurements and layouts as well as the final design. At this time, any extended lead time products are ordered to ensure arrival and availability prior to the project start.
Scheduling
Shortly after all final decisions are completed, you will receive a scheduling estimate that provides a window for a start date and an approximate length for your overall project. As the start date approaches, the project communication will increase with consistent updates on a specific start date for the project.
Pre-Construction Meeting
The pre-construction meeting takes place prior to the start day with you, your sales consultant or a member of our management team and the lead carpenter who will manage the project. We will discuss all details of the construction itself in addition to dust containment, job site maintenance, logistics of entering and exiting the home during the workday, pets, the overall length of the project, the schedule and more.
Construction
Once the project ensues, you will have a dedicated team committed to your project each day. Because we employ true employee craftsmen, we have full control of the schedule. Rarely does a day go by that marked progress is not made on every project performed. Not only will there be an open line of communication with the lead carpenter each day, but you will have unlimited access to ownership, management and your sales consultant during and after the project.
