A New Kitchen For Christmas

Kitchen view after remodel
Some people decide to give sweaters and new small appliances and gadgets for Christmas, this family decided a complete new kitchen overhaul was the right gift for them.So many homes built in the 80’s and 90’s compartmentalized the living spaces within the home. The current trend is leaning toward more open floor plans allowing the living spaces to flow together. This creates more entertaining space, as well as, to allow the person doing the cooking to be a part of what’s going on in the rest of the home. This particular project required the removal of several walls, installation of new load bearing headers, and building a few new walls as well. The end result was a very large open space bringing the kitchen and dining areas together in to one cohesive whole. As you can see from the before pictures the kitchen was isolated from the rest of the home. Products used in this kitchen remodel were: Kraftmaid Cabinetry, Corian countertops, Zodiaq island top, Mannington Adura flooring, and GE appliances.
